Richard Owusu Sekyere can best be described as a young but ambitious entrepreneur, who holds the belief that before every innovative act is Self-efficacy. To him, every innovator first believed in him/herself.
Richard began his advanced education from University of Ghana, where he earned a Bsc. Family and Consumer Sciences. He then attained a professional certification from the Global Academy of Finance and Management as a Chartered Financial Economist. He is currently obtaining a Master of Science Degree in International Business from University of Ghana.
He developed perspicacity for business during his undergraduate studies and served as a business development consultant to student entrepreneurs on campus. He also provided strategic guidance on excellent service management for various student oriented startup companies, meeting the growing business development needs of startups.
Richard is the Cofounder and the Chief Operations Officer of Maiseville Groupe Limited, a renewable energy company. Which has been recognized internationally as one of the emerging startups with enormous solutions for off-grid communities in Africa. He and his cofounders believe that the future of Energy in Africa should be redefined and reimagined.
His passion for Education led him to found Africa Institute for Skills Development, a Skills Training and Business Development Centre. He believes that the future of Africa's economic emancipation and industrialization is dependent on the Technical and Vocational Education and Training.
Richard stands by the assertion that if there are dreams about changing the lives of the youthful population of Africa, then investing in Education, specifically Technical and Vocational Education and Training is one of the major roads that can lead us to the realization of such dream; he sees himself as one of the drivers who can chauffeur this vehicle on the road to achieving this objective.
